The Best Western Plus John Bauer Hotel is a four-star establishment conveniently located in Jönköping's city center. Shops, lakes, restaurants, and other attractions are right on our doorstep, but you don't even have to leave the hotel for a memorable stay—we have everything you need. As a guest, enjoy complimentary access to our sauna and gym, and dine at our popular restaurant, Ester Kök & Bar. The hotel pays homage to the renowned artist John Bauer (1882–1918) and his wife, Ester Ellqvist (1880–1918), both nature enthusiasts. We share their passion, reflected in our seasonal menu featuring locally sourced and organic ingredients. During Christmas, indulge in our delicious, traditional Swedish Christmas buffet. Our newly renovated rooms offer fresh, tasteful designs and exceptionally comfortable beds. Choose from a variety of room categories, including our popular Japan and Africa themed rooms. For added luxury, we recommend our suites, featuring unique interiors by designers Elisabeth and Judith from Levande Lejon design. Many rooms draw inspiration from John Bauer's art, showcased through displayed artwork and lush Missoni textiles. All rooms include 100% cotton linens, a TV, desk, free Wi-Fi, and a kettle with tea and coffee. Secure parking is available for a small fee (pre-booking recommended). Jönköping's central location between Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö makes it an ideal city for conferences.
